If you are looking for one of a kind gift items, fun items, even baked goods, check etsy.com.
Its a place to buy and sell all "handmade" items. You must be a registered user to set up shop and also to buy, but registration is free and easy.
There are literally thousands of different shops to choose from in all price ranges. There seems to be more hand crafted jewelry on etsy than most other things, but you can buy anything from crochet and knitted items, baby items, paitings, recycled art, quilting, cookies, and more!
Etsy offers chat rooms and forums and has come to be a very friendly and helpful community.

Etsy offers an array of "treasuries" where members can choose themed items that they like and place into a treasury to "show". Twelve items can be featured in a treasury. These are not to be used for self promotion however.
Also offered on this site are gift guides. Just click on the gift guide and choose a category of gift. Mother, best friend, wedding gift, holiday and more. This area is compiled with different etsy listings chosen by etsy admin for quick shopping and gift giving.
